Oh the love

lets just say that the past week has been overwhelming for so many reasons, but last night at or let me re-phrase that early this morning at 2 am yes I was awake. Well I decided to check our Dreamgirls blog and it was brought to my attention by Lisa one of our Divas that Dreamgirls was featured on the American Crafts blog. Woo Hoo talk about excited, I couldn't believe it, but wait there's more I received an email from scrapstreet online magazine and they have a special feature on their mag on blogs and asked us to be part of it for the month of April. As I don't know all the details yet it was just an exciting email. On a personal note one of my layouts is featured in the Basic Grey Gallery another woo hoo moment.
Just want to say thanks to all of you who have participated in our Dreamgirls Challenges you all continue to inspire us with your work and love of this wonderful hobby.

Here's a layout created for a recipe challenge on sketches by tamara.

challenges and survivor

here are a few layouts I created for a 10 week challenge over at Scrapbook.com, this one really took me out of the box, but I loved the outcome.

and this next one was created for survivor challenge last week over at Tallyscrapper, didn't really like it, but I'm glad everyone else did. I just think for me it was way out of the box.

and this weeks challenge was really hard for me, because I really enjoy creating layouts with loads of different embellies and this week we could only use one type of embellishment.

We love American crafts

that's our challenge for Dreamgirls this week. I love my thickers, but American Crafts is not just about the thickers. Their pattern papers are just wonderful as well as the many embellishments that they carry. It's really a manufacturer that carries it all even Cardstock! Love it

here's my take on this challenge, which I also took the opportunity of combining my layout for another challenge blog. Category Stories if you haven't checked them out before go on over, awesome designers and great way to get your mojo going.

My new favorite line

last summer when I went to CHA in Chicago and saw Little Yellow Bicycle the Love Letters line I knew I had to have it. Well the funny thing is that I purchased it from Serendipity Scrapbooks & got the whole line from ribbons, ghost frames and pattern papers. Well wouldn't you know that the 2 kit clubs I subscribe to Treasured Scrapbooking &
My Creative Scrapbook also have Little Yellow Bicycle Love letters line am I complaining HECK NO!!! I really love these papers. So if you haven't gotten your hands on them yet run and get them because they sell out fast. Here's a layout I recently created with 3 challenges in mind. You know the saying kill 2 birds with one stone, well I killed 3 lol. This was done for the recipe challenge over at Sketches by Tamara, Guttergirlz, and Shirley's heart challenge over at Treasured Scrapbooking.

So happy

to have some alone time with scrapping friends yesterday. I went to a crop at the Portrait Bug in NYC it was wonderful. It was nice to see old friends, and socialize with new friends. The store itself was inviting and the owner was so sweet, as was her dad at the register. Of course I was able to scrap, shop and talk without interruptions from my 4yr old wanting this or that. If you're a mom you definitely understand where I am coming from, I love my kids but even mommies need a little break. here are 2 of the 3 layouts I was able to create. Thanks for looking

Clearly Yours

this was our challenge over at Dreamgirls! I so loved creating for this challenge I actually created 2 layouts but I really loved the first layout and submitted it Memory Makers call, and their rule is never before seen layout so I decided not to turn that in just in case they want my layout you just never know unless you try. So this morning I had to start creating a new layout for the challenge. The photo is of my girlfriend, she had a roof top wedding over looking the empire state building in New York. It was beautiful, any way I just love this photo I took as she was about to start walking down the aisle. So come on over and check out Dreamgirls
